Food Success....Finally!

This is what our oven looks like after spending forever at the store and making everything from scratch to create the perfect homemade pizza and then waiting for it to cook and then finally dropping it yummy side down on the oven door. I was very upset to say the least. It was about 9:30pm and I hadn't eaten dinner yet. Beau could hear me cussing at it from upstairs as he put Tatum down for bed.
Round 2:
Since my oven was nasty I decided to use the bbq. Success! I recommend fresh basil and tomatoes to anyone making their own pizza...it makes all the difference.
So we picked our watermelon early and it was a flop so when Beau brought in this tiny little cantaloupe my expectations were the same. No flop. Delicious!

Beau was happy to be right. I had no faith in the little thing.

Water Fire- Downtown Columbus

So we were invited by the Hayslips to go to "Water Fire" on Friday night... Live jazz band and a lighting ceremony, I suppose you would call it, on the river when the sun goes down. Not much of a show but it was a nice relaxing time, we brought a frizby and played cards. Its nice to find new things around here. A lot going on in Columbus if you just keep your eyes and ears open... We will miss it when the year is over.
Tatum laid down for a while with us on the blanket...

But that music made her want to keep gettin' up and start dancin' :)

She loves her daddy. I love how she is holding on for dear life to his forehead here.

Twinkle Toes and Sidewalk Chalk

I painted her toes for the very first time. I think it made her feel pretty. Mommy had to match.

Playing piano like Prairie Dawn from Sesame Street

She's going to be musical like her daddy I think.

2010 Irish Festival

We have ridden our bikes as a family to the Dublin Irish festival I think every year that we have been out here in Columbus, with the exception of the first year because we arrived after it had already passed. It is a good time- they fly in really great bands from Ireland (my favorite part) and theres lots of dancers/cloggers, and craft and jewelry stands etc...just a nice atmosphere with the exception of the heat and humidity...but its hard to escape that around here.

Beau and Brian... very authentic, glasses are a nice touch.

Tate's favorite part was probably just playing in the sand :)

One of the many stands there...he shows how they make rugs

High 5in' the gecko

Our last ride back

such a pretty trail, such a pretty town.

Random

Our neighbors had a yard sale- YAY! We got this cute little kitchen set and a music table with all sorts gadgets on it that she loves.
Typical position for her to be in when she wakes from nap time...just chill in her crib havin' a good 'ol time.
